hardness test indentations, production part Q.C., and many other visual inspection or NDT applications that require a magnified view with measuring capability.
This high quality achromatic lens Microscope is 20X power with a 0.320" field of view and internal reticle
for measuring. This reticle can be focused to your eye and has 90 deg. cross hairs with (5) concentric
centering circles divided in .050 increments. The linear scale is divided down to 0.001"
increments for the 0.250" range allowing precise measurements. Allowing up to 2" height objects to be examined, a Rack and Pinion adjustment is used
for precise focusing at min. and max. positions. As shown in the photo, the unit is removeable from it's base for mounting on in-line
inspection processes, on machine tools, and other alignment tasks. Use it in shop, lab or field
since it's lightweight, only 8" tall fully extended and can be carried in your tool box or brief case. (Note: this is not an optical depth micrometer)
